Last week we took both Noah and Ryla in for their well checkups. Ryla's appointment was followed by lots of madness, which I intend to blog on in a week or two, and we found out that Noah had an ear infection. This was his first one. They put him on Amoxicillin. On day 9 of we found out that he is quite allergic to the stuff. Poor little guy. So far he is allergic to amoxicillin, puppies, and chocolate!!!

A Day in the Life of a Preschooler!
I had the WONDERFUL opportunity to volunteer in Aidan's class last week. This was a special treat for me as Cliff takes and picks him up from school since it is at Westover. My dad got to go to which was really special. The day I was there was one of the career days of several they are having this month. The special guest was a potter who also happens to be a shepherd from our congregation. The kids loved it and it was so fun to watch!
Lining up to see the potter. They are to keep their hands behind their backs and a bubble in their mouth. :-)
This is Aidan's best pre-school friend Lella. Isn't she a cutie!!! Aidan has a VERY large crush on her and always tells me she is a pretty princess!

Noah Walking
Grocery Shopping
I usually do the grocery shopping on Friday mornings on Cliff's day off. One of the kids might go with me, but typically I am alone. However, there are a few occasions when I need to go and have to take all the kids with me. This is usually quite the adventure. I do recognize that a lot of moms have to do this every time and I have to say I don't envy them. I do, however, love getting all the compliments on them when I have them with me. I usually have at least 2 to 3 people come up to me to tell me how well behaved they are and ask "How do you do it everyday?" I usually tell them that my kids make it easy. I like to brag on them because I feel they are so well behaved. On this particular grocery store run I only had to get one thing and I believe it took around 15 minutes from the car and back. Typically, I can leave my house to get a weeks worth of groceries and be back to the house in 1 hour. I decided to grab some pics of the trip because I KNOW I will look back one day and laugh at the beautiful chaos in our lives. I wouldn't have it any other way!

The Calm before the Storm!
We have had a pretty eventful week with all of Ryla's health issues and Noah also had a really bad reaction to amoxicillin. But the week before was a great week filled with lots of sibling fun time. Here are the pics I caught throughout the week.

I took his last growth photo. I love seeing the progression from month to month. The little onesie was pretty hard to get over his head in the last couple of months.
We had our care group on his actual bday so I grabbed a cake so we could celebrate with everyone. My friend Joy also grabbed some shots of his first sweets. He loved it, unfortunately, we found out he has an allergy to chocolate. Hopefully he will out grow it because that would be no fun!!!!!
He was pretty proud of the little mess he had created!
The following Saturday we had some friends over for a Birthday breakfast. Small but very fun! He got some fun puzzles, a piggy bank, and his own teddy bear to celebrate!

Winter in Texas
I have to say I have been loving our first Winter in Texas. We spend a good part of our day outside!!!! Noah had his ONE year bday this week and I still need to post on that but until then here are some pics to update you on our week!
Our landlords bought new blinds for the entire house but the best part was that I got to pick them all out!!! Noah was excited about the box and Ryla and Aidan were excited about the bubble wrap!

Noah likes to hang out at the end of the slide making his brother and sister mad at him as they can never go down it.
So they decided to join him! Aidan, as you can see, is playing fire fighter as usual.
He got to have his "quiet time" in the bath with his pirate ship. Very happy little boy!
Alway looking for a way to make bath time more fun!
On our way to and from the park we always run into lots of dogs. This makes my kids so happy!! They keep asking for one but just not ready quite yet!
