TEXAS!!!

So to make a VERY long story short......Our family will be moving to Texas in less than 2 weeks.  Cliff has accepted a job as a Connections Minister at Westover Hills Church of Christ in Austin, Texas.      We are very excited about the journey ahead of us but also sad to leave our church family here at Northside.  This move will give us a chance to be much closer to family.  It will be great to drive to family instead of always flying.  Please pray that the transition will go smoothly.  Cliff and I have so much going on but it seems to be working out in God's time.  Don't know how much blogging I will be doing for awhile but I will try.  As you can see below....Ryla is ready to be a Texan!

Noah at 4 Months!

Noah turned 4 months at the end of last week.  He is a biiiig little boy!  He has the cutest little laugh which I was able to get a little of on camera.  Unfortunately, his cough is STILL here.  I feel so terrible for my little guy.  He has had it now for 3 months and it has not gotten any better.  It wakes him up 2 to 3 times a night and then I usually have to nurse him to get him back down.  There have been a couple nights that his cough hasn't been so bad and he only wakes up once so we still keep praying that he will get through it soon so that he can get some sleep.  However, he remains one of the happiest babies ever.    He is such a trooper!!!  He reminds me a lot of his brother at this age.  They are both so easy going and all you really have to do is look at him and he smiles at you.

My little princess turned 18 months while she was in the hospital.  I would say that she is "getting so big" but she really isn't.  LOL.   She is, however, a sassy britches.  It really is pretty crazy the difference between little girls and boys.  Ryla is all about bringing out the drama in our house.  We laugh and chuckle at it now but I often wonder what our lives will be like 15 years from now.  We love her to pieces and simply can't get enough of her.

  • Wears 12 month clothes
  • Size 3 diapers
  • Size 4 shoes
  • Takes a 2-3 hour nap
  • Goes to bed at 8 and wakes between 6 and 7
  • LOVES spaghetti and chicken nuggets
  • Doesn't talk too much but says mama, dada, bye bye, and please
  • Wants to cuddle ALL the time
  • Has us read about 15 books to her a day
  • Favorite book is the "Berenstein Bears B book" from her Aunt Ryla
  • Loves to chase and irritate her brother Aidan

Medicine is Working!

Ryla is DEFINITELY feeling better.  As you can see from the pics below, her appetite has come back in full.  Spaghetti is still her favorite.  It is also been so wonderful to see her get her energy back.  I have never been so happy to have a messy house again.  She is running around getting into anything and everything she can get her hands on.   LOVE IT!

Kelli's visit

Cliff's sister Kelli came to visit a couple of weeks ago.  (I'm way behind on blogging).  She was only here for a couple of days but we had sooooo much fun during her visit.  We have been so blessed to see our family as much as we have living so far away!  This pic was taken at one of our city parks.  Aidan was having fun.....just not in the mood for picture taking. :)

Mother's Day 2012

Mother's day this year was so nice!  When I woke up Cliff gave me a giftcard to get a massage and a kindle.  He knows me well!  After church and lunch he watched the kids so I could take a 4 hour nap!!!!!  It was outstanding.  I wasn't able to get a pic with the kids until Tuesday.  We had to take about 25 to get just a couple but at least I got them.  Over a WONDERFUL day!

Aidan's first sleepover!

While Ryla was in the hospital we had a sleepover planned for Aidan.  We thought about canceling with everything that was going on but since the hospital kicked me and Noah out and Aidan hadn't been getting much attention from us lately we decided to continue on with it.  We told Aidan that as soon as he got his bunkbeds he could have a friend spend the night.  Of course he did not forget!  We decided to invite his friend Jack (the boy I used to watch).  He is 6 so we thought this would work out well.  Jack was so kind to Aidan.  It was funny to watch the age difference.  I put a movie on for them and Aidan wanted to cuddle with Jack.  Jack looked at me and just smiled.  I told Aidan it was time to take a bathe and Aidan asked if Jack could take one with him.  Jack thought this was very funny.  I explained to Aidan that his friends would not be taking baths with him.  I did have to go in the bedroom several times to tell Aidan to be quiet at bedtime.  He was so excited that he just couldn't settle down.  The next day I heard him "playing sleepover" and telling his baby sitter that if she didn't settle down she was going to have to go sleep some where else. Too cute.
