Imagination Inc.

What do you do when you've got a houseful of pent up childhood energy? Apparently, you do whatever you can dream up. Costumes, wars, and epic adventures make up the free time exploits in our family. One of the most dangerous places for us to be is in our backyard, We've always got to be sure that our fiercest warriors are ready for anything.

Of course, this requires a vigilant watchman. And if you somehow manage to sneak up on this guy, then you're in for the shocking experience of discovering a little monster in his underwear...

All of this battle readiness is so that we can protect our darling princess. It's unfortunate that her princess training hasn't taught her how to coordinate colors between her dress and her shoes, but who are we to critique a princess?
"What are those neighbors up to?"
Oh yeah, and don't forget the dashing prince with a serious ability to strike a pose. It's only a little awkward.

You know it's serious when the battle moves inside. It's gonna get crazy in here.

And how about we round it all out with some ice cream and cuddle time.

Noah turns 3!

Our little bundle of energy turned three over the weekend.  Needless to say, he was pretty excited about it!  Noah has an over the top personality and is constantly cracking our family up.  Right now he is a moody little guy.  When he is happy he makes everyone around him smile.  If he is unhappy with you, you will not walk away not knowing that.  Luckily, there is way more happy moments than sad.

Noah had his first birthday party with friends of our small group on Saturday.  The theme was "Noah's favorite things."  One of his favorite things is Daniel the Tiger.  Family bought him presents centered around Daniel and we had Daniel cupcakes that were yummy!

Next, we moved onto his next favorite thing which was a dance party!  We had special lights and LOUD music.  The kiddos were super cute in our learning room dancing away.

And it wouldn't be a favorite things party without BUBBLES!

Finally, we brought in Uncle Kevin to do some Beat Boxing.  Noah loves Biz Beat of the Day from the show Yo Gabba Gabba and we thought it would be fun for the kids to hear some live beat boxing and have a little lesson of their own.

Last but not least the cupcakes.  Noah dropped his frosting on the floor but that didn't stop him from getting every last bite he could.  Don't worry everyone, we are just building up his immune system.

Well, this is the best I could get with a group pic but the kids had fun taking them!

When I asked Noah who he wanted to invite to his birthday party he told me he wanted his Bible teachers there and "my Zoe."  So Cliff and I thought it would be fun to invite them to got out to ice-cream with us.
Miss Zoe was there wearing a fancy bow she picked out for Noah.  HOW CUTE IS THAT!

Miss Amy came and brought him balloons and an adorable little mailbox!

Miss Kara also came and brought bubbles and flarp!!  He has been making Flarp noises ever since! We were so touched that so many people showed up to help us celebrate our Noah.  The love he has for his friends and especially his Bible teachers shows what a great little guy we have!
