Oh Preschool

Well, we graduated another one fro Preschool this year. Ryla recently had her end of year program and graduation. She absolutely loved being in class with Miss Tamara and Miss Laura. She had so much fun learning, playing, trying new things, and hanging out with Adalyn and Blake.

She was very excited to tell everyone that she'd be going to Fern Bluff Elementary and planned on being a gymnastics coach when she grew up.

We've only got one more year left with a kiddo in PreK. It's a bit strange to think about no longer doing drop off and pick up a couple of days a week. Noah is really excited to be in Miss Tamara's class this coming year, but he will really be sad to not be in Miss Mangum and Miss Arafeh's class. He loved these two ladies so much.

Hamilton Pool

This is probably our favorite thing we've done since moving to Austin. We spent a morning with the Dishman's at Hamilton pool. It's this natural pool just outside of Austin. It's got this beautiful clear water, a perfect little waterfall, dramatic overhangs, and a really great atmosphere for watching weird Austin people.

And this place has great sticks according to Noah...

The kids had a blast hanging out and playing. When we left the pool (about 15 seconds before Ryla fell asleep) we realized how fortunate we were when we saw a line of more than 25 cars waiting to get in!

Mother's Day 2016

Day's like Mother's Day have become a much different experience over the last year or so. With the exception of dad having to leave early for work, it was a really fun day of spending time together, being sweet to mom, and going out to eat.

Soccer Season

We were so excited for Aidan and Noah to play soccer this season. Aidan loves soccer! It was a really great experience for him. He got to have to practices and a game each week. The win for mom and dad was that practice was right across the street from the house. Another fun perk was all the friends he had from school that were on his team.

Noah was slightly less excited about soccer than Aidan, but end the end he had a great time. After a couple of games struggling to keep him on the field, we bribed him with a snow cone if he scored a goal, and it worked! Once he knocked his first one in, he had a completely different experience. It ended up being a really fun season for him and he made a really good little friend who lives down the street from us and will be in Kindergarten with him.
