Trip to Kansas

Thanks to everyone who kept my family in your prayers as Aidan and I traveled home. It was a sad time for our family but also a blessing that my Grandmother is now in a better place and no longer sufferring.

On a happier note, it was so great to see my immediate and extended family. I haven't seen most of them since July and no one except my parents had been able to see Aidan yet. Here are some pics of our time together.

Gram's Visit

So it's my turn to make a post on this fancy little page. It's been an eventful month and I'm a bit behind in things I wanted to mention. My mom was able to make a quick trip out to Spokane to get her first glimpse at Aidan. We enjoyed ourselves quite a bit. We were sad that her visit only lasted a few days. It was fun to see her hanging out with her first grand baby. One of the fun things that came out of her visit was that she got the first picture we have of Aidan smiling...nice work mom.

Aidan's Photos

So we had some proffessional photos taken last week. We had like 100 taken but for some reason the photographer would only post online the ones that we chose to put in his photo albumn. Anyways, if you would like to look, go to the link listed below, then click on events, and enter the passwork aidanm.

Chubby Cheeks says...

It's amazing to me how well you can learn to read your child's facial expressions and noises to figure out what they need. Cliff and I have got it down!!!! Here are just a few that I was able to catch on camera... "Mom I'm doing my business, come back in two minutes."

"I'm bored...Can't you stick a mobile in front of me or something?"
"Mom, why do you always talk in a high pitch voice... You sound funny."
"Wow, who passed gas...Oh ya, that was me."
"Ahh, clean diaper, full belly, put me to bed!!!"
He has three cries. I want to be held, I need to be changed, I'm hungry. This is an I'm hungry cry.Photobucket

I love my Hubby!!!

I have always felt blessed to have such an amazing husband and the last month has only prooved that to be more true. I often take Cliff for granted and I never want him to feel that way, so I thought I would take this opportunity to brag on him a bit. Aidan is just over 5 weeks now so as many of you mothers know, that means he has gotten up in the middle of the night over a hundred times by now. Cliff has only missed two of those times. Our routine consists of him getting up when Aidan cries, he changes him, brings him to me in bed to feed him, he then takes him to burp him and puts him back down (which could also mean staying up with him to rock him back to sleep.) I don't even have to get out of bed!!! I always thought this is what all husbands did until some people started to ask me about it. I now know that I have been getting a lot more sleep than other new moms because of him.

Yesturday he called me at work to see how I was doing. I told him that I was having a great day but was just very tired. When I got home from work, he had taken his morning off, before going to work from noon to nine, to clean the entire house for me. It was an amazing feeling to come home from a long day and just be able to relax and catch up on my American Idol.

Cliff I love you and hope that you always know how much I appreciate you and all you do as a husband and father. We love you.
